Exhibition Dates: August 12 – September 20, 2026
Venue: Museum and Exhibition Complex of the Russian Academy of Arts, Zurab Tsereteli Art Gallery (19 Prechistenka St., Moscow)
The Russian Academy of Arts presents the exhibition project All-Unity, dedicated to the Year of the Unity of the Peoples of Russia, proclaimed by the President of the Russian Federation, and organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
The exhibition brings together works by painters, sculptors, graphic artists, and masters of decorative art representing different generations. It showcases the diversity of their artistic practices and the broad geographical range of artistic traditions within the Academy. Conceived as a traveling exhibition, the project is scheduled to continue its tour throughout the year with presentations in the museums of Novosibirsk and Luhansk.
The historical roots of the concept of all-unity can be traced back to ancient philosophers such as Plato, whose teachings on the One and the World Soul laid the foundation for this idea. It found its distinctive development in Russian philosophy through the works of Vladimir Solovyov, who regarded all-unity as the basis for the moral and spiritual advancement of humanity. Today, the concept remains highly relevant, finding expression in the synthesis of the arts and in the pursuit of harmony between nature, the cosmos, and the inner world of the individual.
The exhibition continues this reflection on all-unity as a metaphor for the shared yet multifaceted artistic culture of Russia—its origins, its rich traditions, and their enduring influence on contemporary Russian art. It highlights the continuity of the academic tradition while fostering a dialogue between the masters of the past and those of the present.
Visitors will discover more than 100 works by outstanding artists from several generations, including Boris Nemensky, Viktor Ivanov, Zurab Tsereteli, Vitaly Petrov-Kamchatsky, Alexei Shmarinov, Vladimir Soskiyev, Viktor Kalinin, Nikolai Mukhin, Georgy Frangulyan, Khamid Savkuev, Dashi Namdakov, Vasily Nesterenko, Alexander Tsigal, Sergey Milchenko, Shalva Bedoev, Lyubov Savelyeva, Galina Vizel, Andrey Remnev, Tatyana Chuvasheva, Aydyn Zeynalov, Natalia Ovsienko, Sergey Serezhin, Yulia Merzlikina, and many others. Together, these artists embody the exhibition's central idea: a dialogue between generations, regions, and artistic schools, offering a compelling interpretation of the concept of all-unity.
